I grew up in a tightly knit neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. Those early years gave me a front-row seat to the way buildings, streets, and people come together to create a sense of place and belonging. My block became my first classroom—an ordinary stretch of city street that taught me how the built environment shapes daily life.
On one hand, it was simply part of the city grid—a practical construct defined by sidewalks, curbs, and asphalt. But on the other, it was a living place with its own rhythm, personality, and identity. It held stories, relationships, and meaning for everyone who called it home.
That experience sparked a lifelong appreciation for the intersection between design, construction, and the human experience. The places we live and work in shape how we see ourselves and our connection to the world—and I’ve built my career around honoring that relationship.”
Our name, StreetBlock, reminds us of the responsibility we have for preserving the integrity of the environments we influence. Our business aspirations are interwoven with this idea as a guiding principle.
